ABOUT SCHOOL

HISTORY
KUHS was founded in 1998 in a rented building in Dhulikhel with a first intake of 60 primary students. Each year it had added one intake and has now reached Class X. Total capacity of the school is limited to 360 only. In 2000, it moved to its own beautiful new campus in Chaukot provided by Kathmandu University.

THE SCHOOL
KUHS is located on a wooded hillside about two miles south to Dhulikhel on a new Sindhuli Highway. It will share its site with KU School of Medicine which is due to be built shortly. The building were designed by the Danish Architect Niels Axel and provide an execptionally good teaching environment.

TEACHING STYLE
There are 3 types of learning: Receiving information from teachers or textbooks: learning from observation and experience: and learning to think for oneself. All three methods are important and support each other. Our teachers try to combine them to make lessons stimulating and interactive.

CLASS SIZE
Classes are fixed at 30 students only. There is one division in the Primary Department, and two divisions from VI onwards.
